Generous Women Enterprise (GWE) is a faith-driven nonprofit organization committed to strengthening communities by meeting immediate needs while empowering individuals and families for long-term stability. Through our core programs: Nourish the Neighborhood, Boxes of Hope -Seniors, and Spark the Future – Youth. We provide compassionate outreach, essential resources, and personal development services to under resourced communities.
This outreach program is designed to uplift and support seniors in our community who may be experiencing food insecurity, isolation, or limited resources. Each box is thoughtfully packed with essential food items, comforting goods, and heartfelt messages of encouragement reminding every recipient that they are valued, appreciated, and not forgotten.
As a mother of a child with a deep passion for dance, I witnessed firsthand the lack of local support and sponsorship opportunities for aspiring artists in the Hampton Roads area. My son, Dareon, dreamed of becoming a professional dancer, yet the financial burden placed on our family—from intensive rehearsals and travel to competitions, to costumes and training—was significant.
Despite these challenges, through unwavering dedication, faith, and hard work, Dareon earned his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. Immediately following graduation, he signed with Rubberband Dance Company in Canada, where he trained and performed and toured internationally. He is now living in New York, actively pursuing and living out his dream as a professional dancer, choreographer and The Founder/Artistic Director of Misfits Dance Collective. Inspired by this journey, Generous Women Enterprise created Misfits Dance Collective to support youth in the arts who have the talent, passion, and drive—but may lack the resources. Misfits exists to remove barriers, provide encouragement, and help young artists confidently pursue their creative calling.

Scholarships may cover:
Dance studio tuition or class fees
Competition or recital fees
Travel expenses related to performances
Costumes, shoes, or required attire
Summer intensives or workshops
College audition fees or portfolio prep
Fiscal sponsorship is a partnership in which a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization provides its tax-exempt status to support individuals, projects, or organizations that do not have their own nonprofit designation. Through this relationship, sponsored projects are able to receive tax-deductible donations and apply for grants that are exclusively available to nonprofit organizations.
Fiscal sponsorship serves as a strategic fundraising tool, expanding access to donors and funding opportunities while ensuring that charitable contributions are managed responsibly under the nonprofit sponsor’s oversight.
